Twin Cloud Management
ABOUT
Twin Cloud Management and booking has been in business since 1984 created by Thom Wolke, who founded his booking agency after being laid off from his job repairing paint spraying equipment. As he was simultaneously hanging around the burgeoning singer-songwriter revival going on in Greenwich Village, as well as working with the environmental organization called "Clearwater", founded by Pete Seeger, someone told him that he should be a booking agent. So, he founded an agency, spent the summer collecting contacts at festivals all over North America, and was off and running.
Thom began managing Guy Davis in 1995. As Thom likes to joke about his long relationship with Guy, "I know guys who committed murder and got less of a sentence than me !"
With his background in theatre Thom has always been drawn to the creative blending of art forms. A long-time fan of Jazz guitarist Grover Kemble, Thom approached Grover about representing his theatre concert, "Durante!" about the famous vaudevillian, singer, actor, Jimmy Durante. Together they put together a presentation for presenters to be able to use.
In January 2019, a long-time dream of Thom's came true as "Gumbo, Grits & Gravy" came to fruition. An ensemble made up of violinist Anne Harris, formerly of the Otis Taylor Band who's music and stage presence ignite any stage, Marcella Simien on keys, accordion, and rub board, who is blending the Louisiana traditions of her father Terrance's music with those found in her hometown of Memphis, and Grammy nominee, Guy Davis who blends together his Folk Roots, family storytelling, and Blues rhythms.
Thom also looks after the appearances of Clara-Belle the Calliope, and represents the live presentations of the documentary, "Life's Essentials with Ruby Dee" which is accompanied by her grandson, the writer and director of the film, Muta Ali.
